I just stumbled upon this classic new york scene one day exploring central park. I decided to include the fence, in order to avoid fatal injury by one of the many runners joisting for position around the track. The building your looking at is called the The El Dorado (who knew?!) located at 300 Central Park West.
Chinese… It’s What’s for Dinner
•September 9, 2010 • 2 CommentsChinatown – it’s one of my favorite places to take photos and was the first place I decided to take some test shots with my (then) new Nikon D300. This was one of those first shots – I was amazed at the ISO performance back then, but it’s got Noth’n on the latest Nikon D3s… Drooool…
These days are numbered

Cool Off with The Flavor of the Week
•July 6, 2010 • 1 CommentIt’s freaking hot out! Today, “they” are forecasting it to reach 100 degrees and continue on for the rest of the week. When it get’s this hot out in new york, you better know how to cool down. My suggestion? Eat ice cream! Although I’m partial to Sundays and Cones (photo blog post soon to come), you should check out the Van Leeuwen Ice Cream truck in soho. If your not in soho, take a look at their twitter feed to see if and when they’ll be hitting up your hood: http://twitter.com/VLAIC.

Working in the Clouds
•June 22, 2010 • 1 CommentEver since I’ve moved to New York City, I’ve had the privilege to live with a view of water towers or work with a view of water towers that line the city skyline. I spotted this guy doing some routine maintenance on a water tower across the street from me. Got vertigo yet? Check out this Dirty Jobs clip to see what it takes to deconstruct and rebuild an NYC water tower tank from scratch.
The One and Only?
•June 18, 2010 • 1 CommentDid you ever see that Seinfeld Episode where Kramer gets lost downtown at the intersection of 1st & 1st? While he’s on the phone, Jerry is trying to determine at which Ray’s pizza he’s near. If you live in New York City, you know there are lot’s of Ray’s Pizza shops all claiming to be original or famous. Well, this one in my neighborhood is definitely The One and Only Famous Ray’s Pizza, however, I don’t think it’s original!
Run
•June 15, 2010 • 2 CommentsLast Tuesday was such a beautiful day, I decided to skip the subway and just walk everywhere. I was amazed at how many interesting things I came across. Luckily, I had my handy iPhone with me to capture it all. Not all that bad for a 3 megapixel camera, but now I’m craving the latest and greatest…
No Parking Wednesday
•June 9, 2010 • Leave a CommentI’m not sure how official this sign really is, but at least they don’t ban photography on Wednesdays in Harlem.
