Huh? That’s right. I was in park slope, brooklyn for the event but I still snapped an interesting water tower sunset from our new apt. What is Manhattanhenge?  It’s a semiannual occurrence where sun aligns with the east–west streets of the street grid of Manhattan. New York City must be in the running for city that holds the most parades; and diverse parades. I came across the Veggie Pride Parade randomly the other day, led by no other, than Mr. Carrot himself.  I didn’t have the heart to tell him where I was heading for lunch.

I imagine that’s what the Craig’s List Post would look like for this place. I love how brokers can spin anything on Craig’s List. I stumbled upon this lovely abode only a few blocks from where I saw my first apt. listing ever about 10 years ago. In fact, the description isn’t too far off.

Taken down by the east river beach in Dumbo. I couldn’t believe this place even existed and was completely empty at sunset. Although this photo was taken in February from my bedroom window in the West Village, I thought it was appropriate to post after last night’s crazy hail/snow storm.  I thought it was the 2nd day of spring, but it still felt like February to me.  Le Fanion is a great little French pottery shop, that seems like it’s been there forever.  Once spring REALLY rolls around, swing by to check out some of the pottery they put out on the street during their sidewalk sales.

Hey, you gotta start somewhere right?  I caught these little guys performing in Washington Square Park on one of the 60 Pianos distributed across nyc parks this year as part of an art installation by british artist Luke Jerram.

… when these foggy views are free!  Looks like we’re in for another rainy week in NYC – it’s ok though, just another chance to take some interesting shots.  My favorite places to shoot in this type of rainy, foggy weather, have always been around the waterfront.  This one was taken at the South Street Seaport looking out at the brooklyn bridge.

In all of it’s wide-angle goodness!  This was the view from my office over at 40 worth st. overlooking West Broadway in Tribeca. We recently moved a little further west into the Bendhim Building at the corner of North Moore and Hudson streets (Right across from Bubby’s).  It was an interesting time over there though – the building was mostly occupied by DOT (until they moved over to water street right before us).  They were suppose to turn the entire building into condos and then the housing market crashed.  Looks like they are still renting office space though.
